Sniper after 2/5: positioning, farm and a team comeback
Practical lessons from my 23/15/11 game: survive a rough lane, find room to shoot and finish together.
What to take from the episode
- After a poor lane, choose accessible, safe farm and the next useful fight to join. Trying to make up for every death at once usually only exposes you again.
- Range helps when there is space and there are allies between you and the threat. Before firing, check who can reach your position.
- Connect your damage to the team’s work. Kills and a triple matter, but Disruptor’s control and everyone else’s actions also made this win possible.
Item → purpose
The late-game HUD confirms Mjollnir, Silver Edge, Power Treads, Monkey King Bar, Daedalus and Hydra’s Breath. Around 11:05, Moon Shard is separately shown being consumed; it does not occupy a slot in this inventory. The purchase order has not been reconstructed; do not automatically copy this build into every game.

Mjollnir ↗
Mjollnir appears on the late-game HUD. Assess its use alongside your team’s positions and your ability to keep attacking, not just the final statistics.

Silver Edge ↗
It offers another way to move and start a favourable trade. Plan around detection and positioning; invisibility does not replace safe distance.

Power Treads ↗
Attack speed and a switchable attribute help manage your hero’s resources. Switch deliberately and keep watching threats while dealing damage.

Monkey King Bar ↗
An item for attack damage and landing hits. First assess whether your position lets you keep attacking your chosen target.

Daedalus ↗
Daedalus boosts attack damage through critical hits. Its potential comes from staying alive and firing; a dangerous step forward can erase the value of an expensive slot.

Hydra's Breath ↗
Hydra’s Breath is confirmed in the sixth late-game inventory slot. Before judging this investment in attacks, check how long you can safely shoot. See the client for its exact current effects.

Moon Shard ↗
Around 11:05 in the episode, Moon Shard is consumed before the ending. This is a separately confirmed action, not an occupied slot in the final inventory.

2/5: recover income and reduce risk
In a rough lane, range cannot save me if the enemy catches me too close. After 2/5, the pace changes: more available farm and more purposeful joins. In your own replay, find the nearest safe gold and a fight you can realistically support. A comeback is built from those decisions, not one attempt to kill everyone immediately.

A triple starts with positioning
We get three kills in a row on high ground. Look beyond the last hits: who started the fight, whom did the enemy use their control on, and how long could Sniper attack? Pause before the trade and mark the dangerous entry route towards you. If that threat has not appeared, keep room to retreat instead of taking one extra step towards the target.

Moon Shard and a team finish
Late in the episode I consume Moon Shard, then get my 23rd kill. Meanwhile, the team continues part of the final push while I am out of the fight. Disruptor takes MVP: my 23/15/11 does not erase his contribution. After a good fight, look for a chance to finish together, not just improve your score.

Pause your replay before your ranged carry dies: where did the threat come from, where were your allies, and which position would have let you attack longer? Choose one positioning change for the next game.
