JuggernautHERO GAME PLAN

What I want to do in the game

I take safe farm, keep Healing Ward alive, and use my ultimate on suitable targets.

Juggernaut cuts down enemies with a flurry of slashes. Few can stop or survive his relentless assault, as he becomes almost invulnerable once he gets going.

01 / ROLE IN THE TEAM

A pick is not a plan yet.

My recommendation is a starting point. We choose another position together with the team and for its needs.

01

Carry · position 1

Initial recommendation

I need protected farm, my item window and damage on important targets.

MY VIEW OF THE HERO

Pick for a purpose. Play with a plan.

When I pick

This suits space to farm and the chance to reach a target with attacks. Healing Ward helps survive sustained combat and continue an objective.

What I watch out for

Against Phantom Assassin, Windranger or Butterfly, I check evasion: MKB may then help more than another ordinary damage slot. I still account for kiting and saving abilities.

What I do in combat

I choose Omnislash based on the surroundings: there may be too many creeps nearby. I move Healing Ward separately; I consider Aghanim for Swiftslash's short extra attack window.

What I check first

Omnislash near a creep wave can spread its hits across targets I did not intend to hit.

02 / ITEMS FOR A PURPOSE

What I buy and why.

I compare my starting point with current high-MMR builds. I name the source beside the build path and choose my own variations for the match’s needs.

Aghanim's Scepter

Aghanim: another window to attack

Unlocks Swiftslash, a short Omnislash with a separate cooldown. I choose it for another window to attack between major ultimates, if I can already reach the target and survive the response.

Monkey King Bar

MKB: when regular attacks miss

I choose it if misses against Phantom Assassin, Windranger, or a target with Butterfly prevent me from finishing them off. Pierce has an 80% chance to pierce evasion and add 70 magic damage; it does not guarantee that every attack hits.

My starting plan

I start from the current Dota2ProTracker sample: Treads, Battle Fury, Manta, Butterfly, and Blink. This is an observed build path; BKB or a disable may be needed before the next damage item.

  1. 01 / Core from the current samplePower Treads

Provide attack speed and switchable attributes for farming and managing my resources.

  2. 02 / Core from the current sampleBattle Fury

Speeds up wave and jungle clearing for a melee hero; an investment in farm before expensive fighting items.

  3. 03 / Core from the current sampleManta Style

Provides illusions for pressure and a separate dispel. This item cannot help you wait out or remove every disable.

  4. 04 / Core build from the current sampleButterfly

Increases physical damage and protection against suitable attacks. I check whether the enemy has an answer to evasion.

  5. 05 / Core build from the current sampleBlink Dagger

Changes the entry angle and lets me reach a target quickly. Damage taken can prevent its use.

What I change for the situation 6 options
Phase Boots ↗

Help maintain close contact and pass through groups of units.

Skull Basher ↗

Adds a chance to stun on attack, making it harder for the target to get out of melee range.

Black King Bar ↗

Provides a window for my actions against eligible magical damage and disables. I check effects that pierce the protection.

Abyssal Blade ↗

Provides a targeted disable when slows and attacks are no longer enough.

Aghanim's Scepter ↗

Unlocks Swiftslash, a short Omnislash with a separate cooldown. I choose it for another window to attack between major ultimates, if I can already reach the target and survive the response.

I see the minute on the clock. And the situation too.

I do not assign one ‘correct’ minute to every purchase. I look at my gold, the next fight and the problem: am I missing mana, target access, control or protection? If an expensive slot will arrive too late, I get a useful answer earlier.
