HERO GAME PLANWe set the pace, catch targets with Chains and leave a safe Remnant to return to.
Swift and elusive, Ember Spirit strikes all nearby enemies in rapid succession, and ties them up with burning chains. Quickly rushing across the battlefield to arrive at one of his exploding remnants, few can avoid, or capture, his flame.
My recommendation is a starting point. We choose another position together with the team and for its needs.
Levels, lane control and joining the team at the right moment matter.
This is an editorial starting plan based on hero mechanics. It is not presented as a match I have already tested or a popularity ranking.
Here is my initial plan: I do my role's job first, then choose the items the team needs. I adapt the order and expensive purchases to the opponent.

Help maintain close contact and pass through groups of units.

Speeds up creep clearing and adds attack damage against multiple targets.

Provides a window for my actions against eligible magical damage and disables. I check effects that pierce the protection.

Unlocks or upgrades Fire Remnant. The exact effects are shown below in the abilities section.

Adds armor and pressure in an area, helping limit the enemy’s health restoration.

I do not assign one ‘correct’ minute to every purchase. I look at my gold, the next fight and the problem: am I missing mana, target access, control or protection? If an expensive slot will arrive too late, I get a useful answer earlier.

The hero creates a fiery copy that runs to the selected location at 250% of the hero's speed. Using Activate Fire Remnant makes the hero dash through all copies in order of proximity, causing them to explode and damage enemies. The selected copy is the final destination.
Increases cast range, initial remnant speed, and maximum charges.
If an enemy hero dies near Ember Spirit, a Fire Remnant charge will be replenished. Additionally, when Ember Spirit dies a Fire Remnant is spawned at his location.
These abilities are not necessarily available at the same time. I check the condition beside the name: innate ability, another form or an Aghanim purchase.
