LeshracHERO GAME PLAN

What I want to do in the game

I stay in range to deal magic damage and turn mana regeneration and health into sustained fighting.

Leshrac's powerful spells lay waste to enemies and their defenses alike. Pushing deep into enemy territory with his devastating edict, careful timing of his ability to split the earth will stun foes, allowing his merciless allies to finish them off.

01 / ROLE IN THE TEAM

A pick is not a plan yet.

My recommendation is a starting point. We choose another position together with the team and for its needs.

02

Mid · position 2

Initial recommendation

Levels, lane control and joining the team at the right moment matter.

03

Offlane · position 3

My resource is the team's space: I hold the lane and build for initiation or team protection.

MY VIEW OF THE HERO

Pick for a purpose. Play with a plan.

When I pick

I choose this for sustained magical combat and quick objective pressure if I can maintain mana and recovery.

What I watch out for

Healing reduction, magic protection and being forced out of the fighting area reduce the benefit. Owning Bloodstone alone does not promise immortality.

What I do in combat

I turn sustained damage on for real contact and turn off unnecessary spending between actions. I aim Split Earth at a disable or an expected route.

What I check first

Keeping damage toggled on drains mana; I do not waste resources between important actions.

02 / ITEMS FOR A PURPOSE

What I buy and why.

This is an editorial starting plan based on hero mechanics. It is not presented as a match I have already tested or a popularity ranking.

Mid · position 2

My starting plan

Here is my initial plan: I do my role's job first, then choose the items the team needs. I adapt the order and expensive purchases to the opponent.

  1. 01 / First stepArcane Boots

Provide mana for laning and regular ability use.

  2. 02 / FoundationBloodstone

Sustains prolonged fights by restoring health from spell damage.

  3. 03 / FoundationKaya and Sange

Strengthens a magic damage build and adds survivability for longer engagements.

  4. 04 / Next choiceBlack King Bar

Provides a window for my actions against eligible magical damage and disables. I check effects that pierce the protection.

  5. 05 / Next choiceShiva's Guard

Adds armor and pressure in an area, helping limit the enemy’s health restoration.

What I change for the situation 3 options
Eul's Scepter of Divinity ↗

Provides a separate tool for disabling an enemy or protecting yourself; I prepare the follow-up combo before landing.

Wind Waker ↗

Improves your escape plan and gives you more freedom of movement while lifted.

Aghanim's Scepter ↗

Unlocks or upgrades Nihilism. The exact effects are shown below in the abilities section.

I see the minute on the clock. And the situation too.

I do not assign one ‘correct’ minute to every purchase. I look at my gold, the next fight and the problem: am I missing mana, target access, control or protection? If an expensive slot will arrive too late, I get a useful answer earlier.

03 / HERO ABILITIES

Abilities. As in the game.

Original Valve icons and descriptions. Cooldowns and mana are shown by level from the data snapshot; talents and upgrades can change the values.

Ability

Details and upgrades

Aghanim’s Shard

The ability triggers 2 more times in the same location at 5 sec. intervals. Each trigger increases the radius by 45. Both teams can see the area where it will trigger again.

Ability

Diabolic Edict

Saturates the area around Leshrac with magical explosions that deal pure damage to enemy units and buildings. The fewer units available to attack, the more damage those units will take.

↻ 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 sec.Mana 90 / 120 / 150 / 180
Ability

Lightning Storm

Summons a lightning storm that blasts the target enemy unit, then strikes any nearby enemy units. Struck enemies have their move speed slowed.

↻ 4 sec.Mana 80 / 100 / 120 / 140
Ability

Pulse Nova

Creates waves of damaging energy around Leshrac, one per second, to damage nearby enemy units. Drains Leshrac's mana with each pulse.

Innates, upgrades and other forms2 abilities +

These abilities are not necessarily available at the same time. I check the condition beside the name: innate ability, another form or an Aghanim purchase.

From Aghanim’s Scepter

Nihilism

Gives the ability’s owner and nearby enemies an ethereal form in which they are slowed, cannot attack, and take increased magic damage.

Full description

Causes Leshrac and all nearby enemies to turn ethereal, preventing them from attacking, slowing them, and making them take more magic damage. Increases Leshrac's speed rather than reducing it. Does not cause Leshrac to take amplified damage.

Innate

Defilement

Leshrac gains 0.7 Area of Effect Bonus per Intelligence.
