HERO GAME PLANI help the lane, move an ally with Cookie, and support the fight from a distance with Mortimer Kisses.
Just as happy to blow your legs off with her trusty scattergun as to fill your belly up with a deliciously-dangerous cookie, Beatrix Snapfire delights in riding into battle with her dragon toad Mortimer, always ready to mow down their enemies with her homemade heavy artillery or finish them off with a steady barrage of Mortimer's firespit globs.
My recommendation is a starting point. We choose another position together with the team and for its needs.
I contribute through laning, control and movement. I adapt the expensive core route to my budget.
My resource is the team's space: I hold the lane and build for initiation or team protection.
This is an editorial starting plan based on hero mechanics. It is not presented as a match I have already tested or a popularity ranking.
Here is my initial plan: I do my role's job first, then choose the items the team needs. I adapt the order and expensive purchases to the opponent.

Provide mana for laning and regular ability use.

Buffs an allied hero for close-range fighting and adds a defensive tool.

Moves me or an ally out of danger; direction depends on the target's facing.

Adds a protective tool and hides the chosen ally; invisibility does not replace escaping detection.

Unlocks or upgrades Gobble Up, Spit Out. The exact effects are shown below in the abilities section.

I do not assign one ‘correct’ minute to every purchase. I look at my gold, the next fight and the problem: am I missing mana, target access, control or protection? If an expensive slot will arrive too late, I get a useful answer earlier.

Snapfire feeds a potent cookie to Mortimer or an ally, causing them to hop a short distance. The hopping unit stuns and damages enemies in the landing zone.

Firesnap cookies become even more potent, healing the target and launching a Mortimer Kiss that does 40% impact damage to the landing destination.

Snapfire heats up her mounted turret to rapidly fire 5 attacks dealing fixed damage plus a percentage of her attack damage. Each attack reduces the enemy's armor. Provides bonus attack range for the duration.

The faithful pet launches several lava globs at a distance of at least 600 over 5.5 sec. Globs deal impact damage and create fiery puddles that slow enemies and deal damage over time.
Snapfire's friend launches a barrage of firespit globs over 5.5 seconds. Globs cause impact damage and create pools of firespit, which slow and apply damage over time. Snapfire has a reduced turn rate for the duration and a minimum launch range of 600. Each glob can be targeted with a right click.
These abilities are not necessarily available at the same time. I check the condition beside the name: innate ability, another form or an Aghanim purchase.

Swallows a creep or allied hero to spit it at enemies later. The target can stay in the belly for no more than 3 sec.

Mortimer spits out the unit that's in his mouth, causing impact damage and stun in a large area. The glob leaves a pool of firespit based on the current level of Mortimer Kisses, that slows and applies damage over time. Spit Out has a no minimum launch range.
