Move to 2027 confirmed

Esports Nations Cup Dota 2: moved to 2027, not November 2026

Before November, I checked the calendar: Esports Nations Cup will not take place in 2026. The organiser moved its inaugural event to November 2027; the old Dota 2 announcement no longer confirms upcoming matches.

FACTS / OFFICIAL SOURCES

What is confirmed

  • Esports Foundation announced the postponement on 18 August 2026: the new window is November 2027.
  • Dota 2 was originally scheduled for 2–8 November 2026. Those are previous dates, not the current schedule.
  • The postponement statement does not establish new exact Dota 2 dates or participant rosters.

01 / CONTEXT AND OUR ANALYSIS

Why an old calendar can mislead

EF’s statement says “will be postponed to November 2027”. Its official FAQ still displays November 2026. For current planning, I use the dated postponement notice rather than the older FAQ.

What viewers should do

For example, revisit a saved “2–8 November 2026” entry using the organiser’s statement. Exact days for the new Dota 2 bracket need a separate announcement. I do not automatically carry national rosters into the following year.
