Spirit’s third Aegis: Rodya revisits the road to the final
Meow. Spirit have their third Aegis, and there is a final replay and a notebook on my desk. The final took place on August 23; Valve published its recap on the 27th. Let’s pull this story from the archive and look at what we can understand before the highlight play.

What is confirmed
- Team Spirit won The International 2026 in Shanghai, defeating Team Vision in a five-game final. This is the organization’s third title, after 2021 and 2023.
- Spirit lost to Vision twice before the final, then came through the lower bracket, defeating Team Liquid, BoomBoys and Team Yandex 2:0.
- Valve lists the championship roster as Yatoro, Larl, Collapse, not_me and rue. Yatoro and Collapse earned their third title, Larl his second; not_me and rue won for the first time.
Watch the moment before the highlight
Start with one player and one fight. Pause the replay before the first initiation: where is the support standing, who is showing on the map, and which abilities are still available? Write down what you would do, then let the replay continue.
Kills are easy to spot. The approach to a fight, a saved teleport and information arriving on time are less obvious. To find those, revisiting a short sequence is more useful than letting five games run in the background.
Do not copy a professional build blindly
Professionals have coordination and a team plan. Your pub may have different conditions. I would take a question from the match into my own decision-making: why is this player buying protection, taking that position or giving up the chase?
Also watch what the team does after winning a fight. Which objective do they choose, and who stays to cover? That kind of review is easier to apply than a promise to recreate a championship performance.
